Scott Coach - Anna Captain - Ivan Rookie of the Year - Katrina MVP

Tuesday, December 14, 2010

Scott and I talked about the past year and its happenings. Ivan was born in May, my one and only accomplishment, but a rather large milestone. Said achievement has grown to be 29 inches and 21 pounds. He crawls and pulls himself up to stand on the couches. His feet are so big I can't find shoes that are developmentally appropriate for him. He loves grabbing and playing with my hair and crawling after me.
Anna started dance class in the fall and dances around the house all the time. She says she likes ballet best, but she wears her tap shoes at home more than her ballet slippers. She says she wants a fishing pole and a Cinderella dress for Christmas and is very concerned about how Santa will get in the house if there is a fire in the fireplace. In January she will start preschool so that she can have some time with her peer group during the cooler months. She and I are very excited.
Scott began working as an executive secretary and has quickly proven his worth. The assignment generally last for a year in which case we are looking at moving next summer. Scott applied for and was accepted to a PHD program with a follow on assignment to teach at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Ohio. That assignment will last 7 years and we are looking forward to letting our roots sink a little deeper for a time.
Hopefully my next post won't take another year to appear.

Yay!! I'm so glad you posted, and I love the updates. We got your Christmas card, and we appreciate you sending it even with the extra costs.

So Ivan might to be tall, huh? He is such a cute baby.

Give him and Anna big hugs from us.
